rugby in the ncaa?
I want to help rugby become a sport in the ncaa, I know womens rugby is on the emerging sports list but I'm concerned about guys, so who would I write a letter to and what do I have to do to help get this to being a varsity sport, also i'd like all the informantion thats pro-rugby I can, how many players are there, how many school in the us have a team, how about in the world, number of fans etc, any info will help get this sport the recognition it deserves
Try the USA rugby union, they are the ones who don't want the NCAA to take over. Because if the NCAA does, the USARU knows that they won't have a say in anything. It's about power, it's about control. Honestly I think that the NCAA is the only way to go about creating a pro rugby USA. Hopefully the game will then be taken serious in high schools and the USA will be able to create rugby players from a young age. and about registered player check the IRB web site they show you how many registered players each country has.
