Safari Outback
What are the most overrated cities and tourist destinations to travel to?

When I was younger, I thought Tokyo would be cool, but after having taken some Japanese classes and dealing with those creepy people that are obsessed with that country, and learning some more about the culture, I'm not impressed. Most Asian cities don't seem like they're a whole lot of fun to visit, unless you're interested in easy sex.

Looking on the map, there really aren't that many places that are a must visit, in the world. There are a lot of tourist traps. The best places ever to visit, in my mind, are probably NYC, California, the Australian Outback...and of the places I probably haven't been, possibly a safari in Kenya, Thailand(afraid to go there as a single male though), Egypt, Rome and London.

This is just my opinion.
Orlando is fantastic, honestly. However, you can skip Miami if you're not rich, because there really isn't much in that city that you couldn't do cheaper elsewhere.

You are wrong and right about the Asian cities. Beijing is great to visit-- The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Peking Opera, Chinese Acrobats-- I could go on and on.
Shanghai, on the other hand, I thought was vastly overrepresented in terms of excitement and things to do.

For me, since I grew up going to NYC all the time, I don't see what is interesting about it. However, most tourists from other countries love NYC.

I liked London more than I thought I would- British culture is actually quite different from American and the city had a lot of interesting nooks and crannies, so to speak. Paris was enjoyable for a day, but I think a week-long stay would be "overrated," as you say.
