Is angelo esposito ready for the nhl this season?
kid has some serious talent. let me remind you that he played on the same line with alexander radulov a couple years back in the quebec junior hockey league. I believe the remparts. Both of them had huge offensive numbers; esposito getting most of the assists, and radulov being the sniper, getting most of the goals. Do you guys think he's pro-ready? him and sid on the same line, wouldn't even be fair for other teams in my opinion.
I doubt it. Keep in mind that the Pens are already pretty deep in talent on the top two lines, and Esposito is the type of player who will simply vanish on the third or fourth line. Plus, his recent groin injury will keep him from showing his stuff effectively in training camp.
His offensive talents are clearly there, but he needs some time in the minor leagues to get up to NHL standard. He also needs to work through these injuries--this is his second groin injury, I believe, in a fairly short period of time.
