Light fixture has 2 extra red and white wires, where do they go?
I'm going to install a flex track light in my kitched and the light fixture has a black, white, ground, and two red and white wires. Where exactly do the red/white wires go? They are pre-bundled so that it's red/white and another red/white.
Open up your switch box and see what's in there. I'm guessing that the black and white connect the switch to the light. The two sets red and white should go to other fixtures. The red ones should be treated as "hot" wires. If you don't connect them, wherever they go won't have power anymore. If do connect them, connect the black to your fixture, with a "pigtail" that you twist together with the two red wires. Twist all the whites together with a white "pigtail", connect the pigtail to the light fixture.
