How to I return the favor of a great date?
I met this new guy last week and he took me out to watch the fireworks. The next day he brought me flowers at work and then to top it off last night he took me to the car races and bought premium seats and bought me a sweatshirt.
I'm really grateful for all of he's done for me. What can I do to return the favor? Should I buy him a gift? Call him? Plan something? Please help.
BTW: I'm not ready to sleep with him, but I do like him.
Smart girl! So now you should know it would be totally appropriate to call him and thank him. Tell him you appreciate him being a gentleman with you, and comment on his thoughtfulness and courtesies to you. You don't need to do anything else. If he's as into you as he sounds, he will ask you out again, you don't have to drop any hints or risk appearing eager. Be certain that you are comfortable with the setting for the date he is proposing, and things should go fine. If it sounds a little too cozy just yet for you, just be tactfull but honest ~ trust me, if he is really interested in "You", he will want you to be comfortable and enthusiastic about honoring him with the pleasure of your company again. It's obvious this guy is sophisticated enough to know how to treat you, so he's smart enough to know you don't deserve any less. (You sound equally considerate - you might consider giving him a small but thoughtful gift (like a food item you heard him say he likes) or even a nice card if the second date goes well.)
