Why do the New Orleans Hornets still play most of their home games in Oklahoma City?
I am asking because I thought it faster and cheaper to fix up the New Orleans Arena than the Louisiana Superdome. Also, I want your answer to be backed by a reliable source, and not by Wikipedia.
George Shinn, the owner of the team, was reluctant to move the Hornets back to New Orleans. The team was not well-established in the Big Easy, there is widespread doubt that the city can really support an NBA team, and support in Oklahoma City for the Hornets has been phenomenal.
