Is it a bad thing to wear a speedo at swimming training?
I've just started a swim team and me and my mum went into the swim suit shop and i picked out a pair of swim briefs for swim training. i went to swim training in my swim briefs and everyone looked at me in this really crude way....what is wrong?!! they were all wearing lycra shorts but it says in the leaflet speedos compulsary and i told my mum and she goes 'well i am not spending another 28£ just for you to fit into swim class!!' what do i do!! thanks for any feedback-dan
u have got the wrong idea!???!!!!! i wear the speedos briefs and they wear the spandex shorts!!
I went to a school that wasnt a swimming school. but i have always been a swimmer and swim for the national team and have always found that speedos are the easiest to wear and cause the least drag. because i went to a non swimming at school all the boys there when we had our annual interhouse gala wore shorts but i always wore a speedo and they always used to hate on that but as everyone in my swimming club (noone from my school) wore a speedo i didnt really mind. but when i got a bit older we all started wearing shark skins to galas to get faster. but still when we are training we wear speedos.
i understand how you feel as i put up with it for 6 years at school. talk to the person in charge of the swim team and ask why he said speedos were compulsory and if they are why the other boys arent wearing the speedos.
