What about adding 2 more baseball leagues?
One could be called the Liberty league with no DH and the other one called the Freedom league with a DH. The Freedom league Champion would play the American league Champion to advance to the World Series. The Liberty league Champion would play the National league Champion to advance to the World Series.16 teams in each league. The Liberty league team's would be from Indianapolis, Hartford, San Antonio, Albuquerque, Reno, Sacramento, Portland, Nashville, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, Tulsa, Austin, Louisville, Jersey City , Omaha and Des Moines The Freedom league would consist of Providence, Buffalo, Anchorage, Orlando, Jackson, Mobile, Santa Fe, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Las Vegas, Boise, Amarillo, El Paso, Charlotte, Memphis and Norfolk. These 2 teams would be added to the American league to make it balance at 16 teams. Fargo and New Orleans. I think a good reason for adding teams is bringing MLB to almost every major American city! What do you think?
I think it is a good idea with some modifications. I would take the twelve worse teams and add 12 teams to be a lower division of MLB. You can work your way up to the top league by winning. The winners from the two leagues could play as wild cards for the World Series. I like the cities and I think people would go crazy over having a home team and a chance to have a world series.
