How does cutting down a hockey stick affect its flex examples plzz...and TY?

i meant like how much flex does it gain when cutting down the stick for 2 in with a 85 flex for example.

Well if it has the flex chart like some of the Nike Bauer sticks there you go. But if not its sometimes tough to tell. It varies with different sticks. When i cut down my Nike Bauer Vapor XX 87 flex about 4 inches it stiffened to about 100 flex. But when I cut down my 85 flex Warrior the same amount it barely changed.
