There's been some debate recently that Sanders is NOT the greatest RB ever.

can't be the best. Never sat atop the rankings. He's one of the top 5 but not the best.
Jim Brown was the Best.
Then Walter Payton.
Then Emmit Smith.
Barry is ahead of but grouped with Eric Dickerson, Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis and Tony Dorsett as all having pased Brown but never sitting atop the list. Of the group Barry is tops with Dickerson and Dorsett coming right behind. There is some argument that if Barry played as long as Payton or Smith he'd have the record but he did not and chose to leave on his own.
