Two Muscles You Must Work To Jump Higher
Like many parts of the body, each part of the body plays a specifiic role. For instance, the amrs plays a role in throwing a baseball. The legs of course play a role in kicking the soccer ball. Every muscle in the body is used in one way or another. The difference here, is that some parts of the body, or should I say muslces, are not strong like the other muscles of the body should be. Here we will discuss two muscle groups that are widely disregarded and why you should train them if you want to become better at sports or in conditioning as general. You would also find out that, when you workout these two muscle groups that we will uncover in this article, when you workoutt hat muscle group, you will also be able to jump higher and in this case since you have an increase in vertical then that means you are one step closer to being able to dunk.
When you go to the gym, it is quite common that you will see many athletes working on the legs and doing exercises like the squats, their main emphasis might be just working out the quadriceps. Many people just believe that training the calf muscles will make them jump higher, but that is not the only thing that does. You need to have every muscle in the legs to be equally as strong. So if you qauds are strong, then every other muscle needs to be just as strong.
Now whenever you do an action whether it is throwing a punch or taking a running step, the one muscle group that is worked all the time is the abs. When you have weak abs then you have weak performance, or if you already have good performance in your sport but do not train the abs, then trainin the abs will better help your performance. Just like when a boxer throws a punch, energy travels from the legs and then goes to the abs and then to the arms. The same thing happens when you tak a running step as previously stated. When you swing your arms to take a running step, the energy travels from the upper body to the lower body and the abs is where most of the energy is lost. Now you should keep in mind that during this process, when you have weak abs then that means that a lot of energy will be lost. Now if you were to do some ab exercises and strengthen your abs then your will reduce the amount of energy lost whenever you perform an action.
So when you go for a jump or grab something in the air, what is one motion in which you start with? The semi squat right, you bend down and focus and get ready, this works the lower back muscles. The lower back muscles are also connected to the upper hamstrings and the hamstrings play a huge role in having strong legs. The erector muscles is what propels you into the air and when you workout this muscle group then you will be able to launch yourself in to the air higher. The deadlift is a good exercise that works the legs and the lower back muscles.
When you workout these two muscles then you will have no choice but to have a higher vertical because these two muscle groups when strengthened will give your many benefits.
